The Georgiana Reed House starts writing its next chapter
Always one to admire historical charm and detail, Meg and her family settled into an old Georgian home located in Abington, Massachusetts known locally as the Georgianna Reed house. As luck would have it, a carriage house came with the property that would soon be the inspiration and grounds to launch Meg's aspirations.

From a finishing workshop to brick-and-mortar retail
Although Meg thoroughly enjoys finishing, she missed interacting with customers in person and dreamed of being involved in her customer's projects from start to finish. She craved community.
When her local shop closed, Meg saw the opportunity to fill a void and combine her dream of owning a shop with her passion for needlepoint.

A company and a baby were born
Carriage House Needlepoint shop was incorporated in 2023. Plans for construction, offerings, and an opening were underway. The birth of Meg's third child, Cooper, redirected her focus from business planning to family for a time.
When the dust settled, Meg assembled her team and got to work.

and just like that, We're open for business
The start of 2025 felt like a whirlwind, and the momentum hasn't slowed down.
Carriage House Needlepoint opened on June 21st, which was also Cooper's first birthday and summer solstice.
Carriage House Needlepoint is Meg's dream come true; a place to share a common love of stitching, build community, encourage creativity, and put phones down by picking needles up.

Meg Fielder
Growing up in New England, Meg spent her childhood summers at her family's beach house making fond memories of carefree sunny days with friends. Her family taught her crafting from a young age; sewing, quilting, beading, and weaving. These nostalgic moments would instill a deep love for classic New England crafting that continues to guide her today.
Meg married her husband, Joel, and her greatest joy is being a mom to their three children; Will, Caroline, and Cooper. They have two dachshunds, Ollie and Millie.
When she isn't in the shop or finishing, you can usually find Meg on the sidelines of a sporting event stitching, baking, or out on a family adventure.
